This unique backgammon features our copyrighted outline of the magnificent Mount Ararat and is carved from one piece of beech wood. Engraved on this model is the Tatev Monastery complex. It was founded in the IV century. According to a beautiful legend, when the master building the Monastery finished his work, he asked God to give him wings so that he could fly and see the beauty from the sky. God granted his request. "Tatev" means "give wings".

This model is completely handcrafted. The other side of the backgammon is designed for the game of checkers. It is varnished. The hinges and locks are made of cast bronze. The entire playing field is hand carved of one piece of wood.
